Section 12J encourages South Africans to invest in the local economy
Wayne Godwin, Senior Vice President, JLL Hotels and Hospitality Group, Sub-Saharan Africa and Fabio Nava, Vice President, JLL Hotels and Hospitality Group, Sub-Saharan Africa talk about the importance of the section 12J for the hotels and hospitality sector
Section 12J is an incentive created by Treasury to encourage South Africans to invest in the local economy. This plays an important role in growing the hospitality sector by investing in our own future as a country. This tax deduction allows for investments in hotels through an approved Venture Capital Company, bringing more opportunities to hotel operators and investors alike. Most importantly, its a fantastic job creator which is needed more than ever before.
