At 12.8%, Johannesburg currently has the highest office vacancy rate among the five major metros covered by SAPOA. Despite this, development activity is still very high in the city, however it is concentrated in specific prime nodes. The disappointing trade balance coupled with the dip in total manufacturing production index does not bode well for the industrial sector.
